New Growth Areas Appear In The Energy Transmission And Distribution Industry
A considerable amount of new information has become available for a number of countries and the scope of the study has been widened in response to demands from our clients.
/24-7PressRelease.com/ - Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c8323) has announced the addition of Transmission and Distribution Database and Report 2004 to their offering
The new edition of this report is not only an up-date but an expansion of the previous reports, with much new data.
During the year a considerable amount of new information has become available for a number of countries and the scope of the study has been widened in response to demands from our clients.
New growth areas have also become apparent and the forecasts have been up-dated in line with market developments.
The report addresses three aspects of the transmission and distribution market.
The T&D systems of every country are outlined, with a database of installed line lengths and system transformer capacity, provided historically from 1970 and forecast to 2010 in 5 year segments for each country.
Annual growth and replacements are forecast in real terms form 2003 to 2008, for line lengths and MVA system capacity.
The databases are provided in the hard copy report and are also provided in Excel format.
About 30 new system maps of national and international grids have been included. In addition to overall transmission and distribution line lengths, two important new sets of analysis are now included in the database for the first time.
- Line lengths by voltage
- Underground cables and overhead line lengths
The T&D equipment markets are estimated and forecast annually from 2003 to 2008. The forecasts cover total capex and six equipment categories.
A new category, EHV towers, has been added to the equipment list and the report now provides forecasts for six groups of equipment;
- power and distribution transformers
- switchgear
- insulated cables
- overhead lines
- insulators and fittings
- EHV towers
The markets are forecast in real terms in $ value at 2003 prices.
An overall comparison is provided for the regional totals at rates of inflation from 2% to 5%, providing a comparison of different current market values in the future depending on inflation.
