The SWAIN METER Co.
"We're Still Going Strong", says Dave Courtright, Business Development Coordinator for The Swain Meter Co., of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Courtright, with 12 years of experience with Swain Meter, now manages sales, marketing and setting up new distributors worldwide.
/Power and Energy PR News/ - MT PLEASANT, MI - June 03, 2007 - William Swain (Bill) founded the company back in 1965 and quickly developed a reputation as the foremost authority in the measuring Direct Current on conductors, applications of which are crucial in today's corrosion industry. Many of Bill's original Swain Meters are still in use around the globe.
Swain Meters are sensitive clamp-on ammeters built from 3/4 to 82 inches in diameter. These instruments measure DC current on all Onshore/Offshore conductors and are utilized around the world in such industries as gas and oil production/storage, the US Military, automotive quality assurance, municipalities and the corrosion control industry.
Swain Meters are fast becoming known as The Industry Standard for precise measurements of DC magnitude and direction. Hand held Clips are used on cables and small pipes to 6" in diameter - while Clamps bolt around bigger pipes as large as required. The meters, clips & clamps are still hand crafted and take many days each to create.
This once small and recluse company is expanding rapidly under the management of Courtright and the assertive direction of Swain's new affiliation - BGL Asset Services. "We are promoting Strategic-Alliances around the globe to better serve our existing clients and expand new business", says Courtright.
