New IntelliStick with RS232 Offers Opportunity to Test Engine-Saving Technology

IntelliStick is looking for beta testers for its new threaded sensor unit with RS232 communications package. Ideal candidates will be in the oil & gas, power generation or manufacturing industries in Southern California.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA, November 08, 2008 /Power and Energy PR News/ -- IntelliStick, Inc. is seeking additional Beta test sites for the IntelliStickTS threaded sensor. IntelliStick monitors for water, coolant and fuel intrusion and reports oil condition in remote or local, portable and stationary equipment. This next-generation IntelliStick system also includes an RS232 communications package.

The ideal Beta partners in this testing phase will be industry innovators operating industrial equipment in the oil and gas, power generation or manufacturing industries and located in the Southern California area. There is no cost to participate in the Beta test.

IntelliStick's award-winning legacy dipstick product is a road-proven, onboard oil condition and intrusion sensor system that is currently in use in heavy duty fleet, independent trucking and individual passenger vehicles. The electronic dipstick communicates with any Microsoft Windows -based Bluetooth -enabled PDA, cell phone or laptop.

The new IntelliStickTS, with RS232 data connection to a PC or telemetry device, enables condition-based oil monitoring in engines, gearboxes, turbines and compressors in remote locations as well as local sites.

As with the original electronic dipstick unit, the IntelliStickTS helps reduce the risk of catastrophic failure through the early detection of water, coolant and fuel intrusion, and through in-line scanning of additive package conditions and oxidation/acid build-up in the oil.

Although Beta test participation is free, partners will be asked to assure that the unit is properly installed in a timely manner and that data is routinely shared with IntelliStick. The initial test period is expected to last approximately two to three months, and IntelliStick will provide customer support and assist with installation or operation questions.
