Irene M. Rivera Recognized for Excellence in Energy Services Management
Irene M. Rivera, Professional of the Year in 2008, named among Cambridge Publishing's Top 101 Industry Experts

Demonstrating leadership and comprehensive expertise in energy services, Irene M. Rivera is noted for her professional accomplishments. Now celebrating her 29th year in the energy industry, Ms. Rivera has been in leader in sales, customers, services and human resources operations within National Grid. She is also the founder of the company's Hispanic Leadership Organization, for which she currently serves as vice chair.
Attributing her success to her open, honest and ambitious nature, Ms. Rivera utilizes the experience she gained in her prior positions to implement process improvements in the areas of customer relations operations, sales and marketing, and human resources. Within five years, Ms. Rivera will have obtained a professional coaching certification so she can continue facilitating professional development, process improvements and change management initiatives. This certification will augment her already strong educational background, which consists of a bachelor of science in professional business studies and an associate degree in liberal arts from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York.
Ms. Rivera is well known within her professional community for her innovation and steadfast work ethic. She has been bestowed with several honors including the National Hispanic Corporate Achievers Award in 2007, Bridging the Gap Award by Faces of the Rainbow in 2000, Inroads Supervisor of the Year in 1994 and Corporate Leadership Award and Women Empowered. An active member of her community, she is a second president emeritus for the National Hispanic Corporate Achievers, a member of Life Transformational Coaching and a supporter of the American Heart Association. In 2008, she was chosen as Cambridge Publishing's Professional of the Year and, in 2009, as one of its 101 Top Industry Experts.
